Bui Huy Quang, born 1965 in Vietnam, graduated from Hanoi Industrial Art University in 2000. Since that time, Quang has captivated many of the art critics with his exquisite oil paintings that typically depict feminine grace and beauty in the performing arts. Another hallmark of his is the representation of humility as shown in lifelike portrayal of monks on their journey in and about life.
Quang often chooses a subtle black background as a means to allow the audience full focus on his subjects. Additionally, he uses the Lotus flower to complement the subjects in his paintings in order to characterise strength in pride, purity, independence and greatness.
Quang has participated in numerous exhibitions in Hong Kong and in his homeland, Vietnam.
